Jobless Claims in U.S. Decrease....August 26th 2010

Good news, less people are filling for unemployment benefits.  The bad thing about the lower jobless number is it doesn't take in account that number of people who have taken any job or part time work that wanted full-time work.  And lets not forget the permanently discouraged population. What about all the people who are in sales who are working twice as hard for half as much income?  How about all those who are self-employed who are struggling to find more business in this down economy?

The bottom line is we still have a long way to go and the private sector is where the true recovery will come from.  Until the private sector feels comfortable that consumers will buy their products production will remain low and the number of new jobs will follow.
